After the huge success of the 2023 Mr Sportswear UK, we’re excited to announce this years edition of the Mr Sportswear UK competition, taking place during Manchester SneaxWeekend in November 2024.

Think you’ve got what it takes to represent the UK Sports Fetish scene? This could be your chance to bring together like-minded people! We are looking for someone who celebrates inclusivity and respect for each other within the fetish scene.

Our contestants will face questions from both the judges and host, with the winner crowned after a combined vote of the judges and audience.

The contest aims to be fun and hopefully stress-free, we want you to have a good time.

From January [2024], a friend and I began a regular performance on stage at one of the clubs in the village, and then in February it was time to attend “Belgian Sneaker Days” in Brussels where I was invited to be on the judging panel for “Mr Sneakers Belgium”. I had a great time meeting my Sportswear brothers from Belgium, France, Netherlands and Germany and was taken under the wing by Max, president of the USE. I then attended Darklands in Antwerp, where with my Sash Brothers we took part in a game show on the stage (which I won!), manned a stall over the weekend, hosted a champagne social, and had countless photos taken with festivalgoers. I was also offered a professional photoshoot, free of charge.

The next major event was Easter Berlin, where we met the newly elected Mr Leather Berlin, and I was invited to be blessed by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence on stage alongside other new titleholders, something I’ll never forget.

Back home I was interviewed by Forever with Pride magazine, and then took part in a photoshoot for the next Sneax Weekend. I began to plan a Sportswear Social, having been invited to attend the Leathermen Social in Manchester, knowing there was a gap here.

In Cardiff, I was invited to be on the judging panel for Mr Fetish Wales, which got me thinking outside of my Sportswear box, and then I did a photoshoot for Alert! – the Pride edition. Over Summer, between marching in both Leeds and Manchester prides – feeling incredibly proud to be marching in my home city with my beloved sash and my flag aloft, I was interviewed for another magazine whose reporter travelled up from London just to meet me. Then, at MCR Pride weekend I helped to deliver an extra special stage performance at Alert!

Following the summer, I went to Folsom Europe where I very proudly helped the other titleholders present to smash the previous years total and collect in over 70,000€ of donations that will go towards HIV and Aids charities across Europe as well as helping to support smaller fetish and kink projects.

Finally, a project I’d wanted to fulfil became reality, with the creation of MSM – Manchester Sportswear Men – thanks to the first group of guys who made the initial social event (a bar crawl) a success! We had a blast being out in Manchester in our gear and I know we were seen, we were visible, we were loud and we were proud!
